The small Celtic village of Kounos is located in the central Maini, situated along the mountain pass right on the highest peaks of the mountains. It appears in the style of Gratogel.

The Mahinos living there are very religious people, following loyally their leader, Kontos. Aside from him and his bodyguard Nodd, the only other important inhabitant is Darios, a friend of Mellthas.
